MATTER Receives Medal at SF2M Journées d'Automne 2003

MATTER's work has been rewarded with a medal at this year's Journées d'Automne of the Société Française de Métallurgie et de Matériaux (SF2M). Peter Goodhew and Andrew Green travelled to Paris to receive the Médaille Bastien-Guillet, awarded in recognition of MATTER's work in spreading knowledge in the field of metallurgy and materials science. They also gave a presentation on Wednesday 28 October giving an overview of MATTER's past, current and future activities. The timing of the award is especially pleasing as it comes exactly 10 years after MATTER was set up in 1993. We would like to thank the President and members of SF2M for honoring us thus.
